Directly outside number 24 Winwick place- overhanging branches, and also in the winds some larges branches have snapped off and fallen, resident concerned that more will brake off and cause an accident. Also resident saying about the " right of light" that she has been looking into and feels in general the tree needs to be cut back. Resident also saying when reported before there was conflicting advice on how far the branches should be away from the property. A lot of dead branches also. Resident would like this trimmed up as feels its one side heavy. Resident has the "right to light" because she has lived in the property for 20 years

Thanks for your enquiry regarding a Council owned tree.
A qualified tree surveyor has assessed your request and following a site visit has recommended works. On completion of the works you may feel the task undertaken may not fully address the issue raised. Aragon Direct Services employ qualified tree surveyors to undertake the inspections and all works recommended are in accordance within the guidance contained within the Peterborough Tree & Woodland Strategy 2018-2028.
Continued management of all our trees forms an integral part of this strategy. All Council owned trees are surveyed by a qualified surveyor for safety every one-to-five years, depending on how much the area surrounding them is used. Where inspection identifies maintenance work it is scheduled in accordingly with safety issues forming the highest priority.
