Overgrown trees, hanging branches
Reported in the Overgrown trees category anonymously at 15:54, Sat 29 August 2020
Sent to Peterborough City Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2269695.
There are many overgrown trees that have been left unattended for many years which is now resulting in large branches hanging over into the middle of the road.
There is very little parking on this small road so most cars are unable to park outside their house (no driveways, garages) and are needing to park on the other side of the road (under the trees). As I work evening by the time I get home there is no space to park outside my house and I have to park under the trees as do many others. We are all concerned that due to the bad weather and storms that the branches are eventually going to fall and damage our cars.
This problem has been going on for years but with the storms the smaller branches are falling off and it won’t take much before the larger ones also fall. As you can see from the pictures (that don’t do it justice) the branches are now hanging over into the middle of the road.
Please can someone look into this, I feel because our street is out of the way that it is forgotten about. Some residents on the street are so concerned that instead of parking under the trees they are parking on the newly built houses streets however there is also not much room for others to do this without blocking other residents cars in.
