Overgrown trees causing trip hazards and property

The roots of the trees have been growing too close to the properties. These are now going through the pavements and have created a trip hazard and are also rooting towards the foundations of buildings ehich is visible. New trees are also starting to form from the current trees. They are also over growing to the top of the houses and building. They have caused property damage and trip hazards for over a year

Thanks for your enquiry regarding a Council owned tree.
A qualified tree surveyor has assessed your request and following a site visit has recommended works. On completion of the works you may feel the task undertaken may not fully address the issue raised. Aragon Direct Services employ qualified tree surveyors to undertake the inspections and all works recommended are in accordance within the guidance contained within the Peterborough Tree & Woodland Strategy 2018-2028.
Continued management of all our trees forms an integral part of this strategy. All Council owned trees are surveyed by a qualified surveyor for safety every one-to-five years, depending on how much the area surrounding them is used. Where inspection identifies maintenance work it is scheduled in accordingly with safety issues forming the highest priority.

The works recommended from the inspection have been approved and we are in the process of issuing a work order to our contractor.
