Blocked highway drainage gullies
Reported in the Flooded road category by Malcolm S Turner. 52 Denton Road at 15:07, Wed 26 August 2020
Sent to Peterborough City Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2264836.
This is a follow-up to my recent report.
Your technicians duly arrived on 25 August, inspected the area and informed me that is was an Anglian Water issue.
I duly contacted Anglian Water whose technician arrived this morning but informed me that the highway gullies are a Council asset. He showed me drawings to this effect.
Further investigation of you website indicates that you, The Council, are responsible for highway drainage and gullies. See snapshot of relevant webpage attached.
The situation needs to be resolved and instead of skirting around the issue please be proactive by sending a Highways Engineer to inspect the area and instigate remedial works.
Thanks for making your report.
It will be passed on to the relevant department. We will endeavour to provide you with an update within 10 working days.

After further on site investigations we have ascertained the cause of this localised flooding is due to a defective Anglian Water Surface Water Sewer. Anglian Water have been informed and they have confirmed a job is raised to carry out the necessary work.
State changed to: No further action
