Blocked gulley outside #58
Reported in the Blocked drainage gully category by Malcolm S Turner. 52 Denton Road at 12:23, Mon 24 August 2020
Sent to Peterborough City Council 21 hours, 46 minutes later. Council ref: 2260582.
During and after heavy rain the road is flooded. This problem has, according to neighbours, existed for over 10 years. The whole system upstream of that gulley is impacted and Residents at number 54, 56 and 58 are severely affected with potential for flooding of their properties. We are all elderly in the affected area. I am also affected in that my surface water system is also blocked. I have only been in the property for 18 months and initially assumed that my guttering was too small to cope with extreme flow. This is obviously not the case and the whole system needs to be checked and the problem resolved at the earliest possible opportunity.
