Overhanging trees within 2 meters of house

Sent to Peterborough City Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2255489.
The original tree-line was further from the house 5 years ago when we moved in, now new younger trees have grown up to a large size inside the original tree-line. In addition to this we have noticed cracks in the wall from soil movement associated with tree roots being under one side of the house, possibly combined with clay soil type. This is being investigated by insurance brokers as of September 2020.

A qualified tree surveyor has assessed your request and following a site visit has been unable to recommend any further action on this occasion.
Please be aware that Aragon Direct Services manages the Council owned trees in accordance with the Peterborough Tree & Woodland Strategy 2018-2028.

Continued management of all of our trees forms an integral part of this strategy. All Council owned trees are surveyed by a qualified surveyor for safety every one to five years, depending on how much the area surrounding them is used. Where inspection identifies maintenance work it is scheduled in accordingly with safety issues forming the highest priority.
