Trees overgrowing (to high) & branches overhanging
Reported in the Overgrown trees category anonymously at 11:35, Wed 22 July 2020
Sent to Peterborough City Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2211644.
The trees at the back of 103 blackmead are overgrowing and need topping off as they are now too tall and blocking sunlight. The branches are also overhanging the pathway and gardens, with some of them broken and hanging - causing potential danger and nuisance. Have also spent considerable time and effort cleaning and painting back garden fences, which will only get as bad again if the trees are not cut back. Has gradually be getting worse over the last few months and will continue to do so if not attended to.

Thanks for your enquiry regarding a council-owned tree.
In accordance with the Peterborough Tree & Woodland Strategy 2018-2028, a qualified tree surveyor has visited the site, assessed your request and concluded that there is no need to undertake tree works.
We don't prune or remove council-owned trees because they are considered too big or too tall unless it is deemed to be dangerous.
All council-owned trees are surveyed by a qualified surveyor for safety every one-to-five years, depending on how much the area surrounding them is used. We also carry out maintenance work if it's needed.
