Overhanging tree/s problem
Reported in the Overhanging Trees category anonymously at 13:58, Fri 17 July 2020
Sent to Peterborough City Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2204866.
At the back of our property we have two large council trees one to the left and one to the right of our house (on a tree belt) which have grown very large over the years. We are concerned as a matter of safety to our property to the height of the trees and how much they overhang into our property. There has been an incident already where our fence has been damage. Could these trees please be assessed with a view of maintenance and tree surgery.
We raised concerns May last year regarding some trees at the back of our property. Some work has been carried out recently on the tree belt however not on the trees reported. Yesterday afternoon one of the trees split in half, luckily no damage to our property occurred however needs attention. Can you also confirm the plans for the other large tree to the right of our property as if the same occurred damage to our house and conservatory would occur.
Since then the tree is getting closer and closer to the roof of our property and would request maintenance to be carried out on the tree to prevent any damage to our property.

Earlier in the year we carried out a survey and identified a few trees to be removed for health and safety and this work is currently being carried out.
Also as part of the councils ongoing maintenance in the tree belt this winter we will be removing the large ash growing close to the property fence. This is the tree which is described as being on the right.
State changed to: No further action
