Big tree branch overhanging garden, tree leaning.
Reported in the Overhanging branches category anonymously at 13:23, Fri 17 July 2020
Sent to Peterborough City Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2204780.
The tree nearest the path in this cluster of 3 trees in the park behind my house has a large branch that is overhanging my garden. It is blocking the light, drops debris into my garden and onto my washing. During autumn it drops a large amount of leaves into my garden. This has been an issue for a few years but it is getting worse as the branch continues to grow out and I am now also concerned the weight of the branch and height of the tree is making the tree lean towards the garden which may become a serious safety issue of not dealt with. Ideally I would like to request the overhamging branch be removed, and whatever hight reduction of the tree is to fix the problems above and make it safe. Thank you.

The tree in this enquiry is a mature landmark Beech (Fagus sylvatica) that is protected with a Tree Preservation Order.
The tree was recently inspected by a qualified tree surveyor and the tree does have a large limb growing towards the property and overhanging the rear garden, it is well clear of the property and there is no arboricultural justification for any works to be carried out.State changed to: No further action
