Trees blocking lamp standards

Reported in the Light blocked category anonymously at 10:59, Monday 13 July 2020

Sent to Peterborough City Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2197687.

I live in Hampton Vale and have been impressed with the upgrade to nearly all our street lights.

However, the A15 London Road between Peterborough and Yaxley is still poorly lit up due, in places, to the huge lamp standards being almost obliterated by the trees growing all around them. In addition a lot of the branches are quite substantial and I can foresee that a really strong storm could easily cause damage to the lights. The main problem is along the stretch of road from the new secondary school up to the junction with Eagle Way and Aqua Drive.

A great deal of money has obviously been spent on installing these lights and it would be a terrible shame to see them not providing the light that they are able to or even worse, damage occurring to the light fittings.
