Large tree, falling small branches, leaning over
Reported in the Overgrown trees category anonymously at 22:53, Mon 6 July 2020
Sent to Peterborough City Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2188822.
Tree at the back of 2 Essendyke. It has become very overgrown and the branches are hanging. Small branches are often falling of this tree, onto the pathway and into neighbouring gardens. With the recent wind i have become concerned for the safety of this tree and the houses. Over the years the tree has also started to lean more.

Thanks for your enquiry regarding a council-owned tree.
In accordance with the Peterborough Tree & Woodland Strategy 2018-2028, a qualified tree surveyor has visited the site, assessed your request and concluded that there is no need to undertake tree works.
We don't prune or remove council-owned trees because they are considered too big or too tall unless it is deemed to be dangerous.
All council-owned trees are surveyed by a qualified surveyor for safety every one-to-five years, depending on how much the area surrounding them is used. We also carry out maintenance work if it's needed.
