Council silver birch tree rubbing telephone wire
Reported in the Tree touching overhead cables category anonymously at 17:16, Sat 4 July 2020
Sent to Peterborough City Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2185624.
Ref previous complaint number 2151881. Your assessor has visited and from the images they have uploaded to our complaint, they have looked at totally the wrong tree. I have now uploaded photographs of the tree in question, showing how it has grown next to my mums telephone wire, which as mentioned before is being stretched every time the wind blows with the trunk rubbing against the wire. We look forward to you re-opening this and reviewing the correct location in Fane road. The tree is out side number 71 and the telephone wire runs from number 73, please ask if you require any further information on this.. Many thanks for this.

Thank you for your enquiry regarding the tree outside your property. Unfortunately, at the present time there are no identifiable arboricultural reasons to justify carrying out any works.
We recommend that you contact BT as they have a Statutory Undertaking as such this enables them to carry out Arboricultural works when it affects their lines or equipment.
We trust that this answers your query. However, should you require any further information we would be happy to discuss this with you.
State changed to: No further action
