We have investigated this and although regular clearing of the gullies enables their free flow of water, we believe there may be an issue with the pipe running under the B1443, as when inspecting the downstream manholes the system was slow flowing. We also have issues with access into the old Wild Fowl Trust Site, as this is where this highway drainage pipe outfalls. We will have to book road space and program in a high pressure jet and cleanse along with intensive root cutting as this may well be our issue, we hope to have this carried out within the next 4 to 6 weeks.

This high pressure jetting and root cutting works have now been carried undertaken, there was an issue just prior to the outfall, located in Heartstone House garden, this has been repaired and the water level in the drainage system has drained down, the level of the water in these systems are determined by the water levels in the ponds located in the old Wildfowl site, on leaving site the drainage system was flowing well.
State changed to: No further action
