Blocked culverts Ufford Rd. Bainton

Reported in the Other public drainage issue category by Cliff Stanton (Bainton & Ashton Parish Councillor) at 17:50, Sunday 7 June 2020

Sent to Peterborough City Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2145873.

Water backing up highway ditch on west side of Ufford Road, Bainton as far as Petrelyn due to blocked pipes. Two pipes drain the ditch to the brook. The pipe to the upstream headwall is completely blocked. The pipe crossing the road to the downstream headwall is partially blocked. A little water was coming out on 6/6/20 but not enough to keep up with flow. Standing water in ditch is causing pipes under driveways to silt up. Both headwalls have loose blocks on parapets which are a potential danger as previously reported.
