Overgrown bushes on riverbank path
Reported in the Public right of way - problem with access or damage category anonymously at 18:10, Thu 28 May 2020
Sent to Peterborough City Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 2133163.
Resubmission: (NB : I am acting for a concerned elderly neighbour on this matter) You have sent back my report to you (2129993) and asked me to contact the Land Registry directly myself to ascertain ownership of the land in question. As you know, my report points out the possible DANGERS to pedestrians and cyclists along the river bank as a result of overgrown bushes. Delaying things is not good. I believe PCC itself has the moral responsibility to liaise with the adjacent owners (whoever they may be) as quickly as possible to request that they take action to address the problem. PCC has the authority to do this. I know PCC (legal dept) has online access to Land Registry data so it should be relatively easy for them to find out the required information. Bear in mind too that at stake here is the potential danger of loss of life of passers by/children by them being accidentally knocked into the river. Delays are not good. Why are you putting barriers in the way of resolving what should be a relatively straightforward issue? I feel you should be more proactive in dealing with these types of query otherwise people will just not use the system and that would be an awful shame as the idea behind it is so very commendable. Can I ask you once again to thoroughly investigate this matter. Kind regards. BMB
