Sent to Peterborough City Council 2 minutes later. Council ref: 2069000.
The footpath is impassable. This is an ongoing problem. I am 78 years and need to be able to walk from my house to Werrington village by the most direct route, especially in these difficult times.
Thanks for making your report.
It will be passed on to the relevant department. We will endeavour to provide you with an update within 10 working days.

Unfortunately this footpath is not public highway but owned by Homes England, this said due to the wet winter the area of open space became saturated, resulting vast area of surface water ponding, and due to the contours of the land this particular section of path is the lowest part of the land, thus all overland flows drain to the lowest point, normally this disperses after a couple of days, however due to the continuous rainfall the ponding was insitu for a lot longer. i am please to say the water has now naturally soaked away and the footpath is once again clear and free to use.
State changed to: No further action
