Recurring flooding at entrance to Paradise Lane
Reported in the Flooded road category anonymously at 17:09, Mon 16 March 2020
Sent to Peterborough City Council 1 minute later. Council ref: 2064425.
Technically this is an update to the flooding reported last week. I'm now advised that this has been happening since the City Council removed trees from the area and water is no longer soaking away. I believe a request for young trees to be planted here has been made before, so the issue can be resolved. Could you pass this to the relevant officer for tree planting please?

This Offlet kerb drain has been cleansed and the pipe work jetted, the system is working albeit slowly, we suspect due to a damaged section of pipe. we are looking to renew this and or alter the design of the system, in order for this to free flow during heavy rainfall.

We have now exposed the pipe and created a small depression for the surface water to flow into of the highway and then soakaway thereafter.
