Re previous problem 1996342
Reported in the Other public road issue category anonymously at 09:14, Tuesday 25 February 2020
Sent to Peterborough City Council 1 minute later. Council ref: 2020345.
I recently reported blocked drains in Yarwell Road with specific reference to a permanently overflowing drain which is continually allowing water to run down the hill (even during dry weather) and forms a permanent large puddle (small lake when it rains) in the gutter. This drain is situated IN THE GRASS VERGE OUTSIDE NUMBER 2. it is not a conventional manhole but more of a large hole in the grass from which the water pours ( as I said before, I believe this is due to a bit of “unofficial drain reconstruction” ) and is which now is affecting the highway.
Thanks for making your report.
It will be passed on to the relevant department. We will endeavour to provide you with an update within 10 working days.

The gully in the verge is built on top of a pipe system that drains some of Old Leicester Road, this pipe system then oufalls into the open ditch and eventually into the stream. Today, Fridat 28th February, we have been on site and jetted this piped system and all water has stopped overflowing onto the road and is now free flowing within the pipe and outfalling directly into the ditch.
