Significant traffic build up

Reported in the Other public road issue category anonymously at 20:01, Friday 21 February 2020

Hi, for some reason there seems to be a significant build up of traffic on the A1139 from the A47 heading past the PE1 shopping area at Van Hague which continues to the main roundabout. This has been happening over the last few weeks.

I believe there is either a problem with the timing of the traffic lights signalling at both the Van Hague entrance and the main roundabout heading from east to west. There is a huge traffic build up virtually all the time - and as there are no road works being carried out on either the A47 or A1139 parkway, there should be no reason for this to be happening. It is happening all the time whatever time of the day I have ventured out from the village to head in that direction. It was never like this before (except at heavy traffic times which is understandable) but there has been a significant change in the amount of backup traffic and needs to be looked into as to why this is happening.
