Unsafe electric fence

Sent to Peterborough City Council 1 minute later. Council ref: 1948914.

The local farmer in the area has put up an electric fence for their sheep. There is no signage or warning of the fence being live and it runs in close proximity of the edge of the footpath. Signage needs to be installed.

  • Electric fences are not lethal, they keep the livestock within by giving a mild shock. Welcome to the countryside!

  • I live in the countryside, but it’s a legal requirement for farmers to put up signage when using electric fences when near footpaths.
