Widening hole underneath pavement

Reported in the Pothole category anonymously at 02:48, Thursday 2 January 2020

Sent to Peterborough City Council 2 minutes later. Council ref: 1913722.

A hole in the pavement has appeared which seems to have a void underneath it - the extent is hard to see, but the hole is a few inches wide and a torch shows a green utility pipe underneath uncovered - looks like sand infill has washed away. It is on London road about 50 yards away from the drill hall - near the junction with New Road. It is is a tripping hazard and the amount of lost sediment might create a big void by a person/pram passing over it.
