Inadequate road layout

Reported in the Other public road issue category anonymously at 10:10, Sun 10 November 2019

Sent to Peterborough City Council 5 minutes later. Council ref: 1839564.

There is a massive ongoing issue at rush hour with the current road layout for traffic heading from the Serpentine onto the A15 London Road towards Yaxley. The current road layout simply cannot cope with the amount of traffic. The queue of traffic wanting to turn right onto the A15 stacks back onto the round about providing the access to Serpentine Green shopping centre which causes vehicles who wanted to turn right at the A15 roundabout to go straight across and either cut into the queuing traffic or simply contravene the left hand turn only signs(which are very poor) and enter the roundabout with the A15 in the wrong lane causing them to cut up the already queuing traffic. This results in almost daily road rage and is going to lead to a serious incident. This additional traffic using the wrong lane further congests the traffic lights on London Road leading to even further delays for the vehicles queuing in the right lane. This situation is getting worse and will only decline with the additional houses being built along the A15 corridor.
