Fixed
About three weeks ago a collision at about 3pm between two SUV's caused the signs warning of the t-junction to be knocked down.
Reported in the Traffic sign category anonymously at 21:47, Wed 23 October 2019
Sent to Peterborough City Council 3 minutes later. Council ref: 1817130.
Parts of the sign is there. Needs someone to go and look at it before someone takes it for scrap. This is about the third incident involving vehicles at this junction, would it be better to make it a give way on french drove and not the present system. Vehicles travelling fast towards the junction might slow down more than at present avoiding also the low sun incidents that people think that French drove is the main road and New Cut a side road.

WELL DONE: What a quick reaction and fix, great work to see a problem fixed and the signage replaced or remounted. The problem with this junction is, at certain times of the year the low sun can blind the drivers going West and they miss the fact that the road turns left over the bridge. Replacing the signs knocked down by the large vehicles has made this junction better. The 7.5tonne signage would be better placed at the roundabout on the A47. Still, large vehicles use the road at night 3 am several cuts through to & from Spalding. The road on the Peterborough/Cambs side is often better maintained then the Lincolnshire roads to the North. Nearly a month a road linking Gedney Hill to Crowland has been closed.
