Driveway being flooded again
Sent to Peterborough City Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 10010217.
The drain near the front of our driveway (6 Harrison Close) is still blocked. I’ve reported it multiple times and on the most recent occasion you said “Our Contractors attended site yesterday (8th June) after several heavy rain events, the gully was taking water and the level was normal within the gully pot. Notwithstanding this, the contractors lifted the Anglian Water Manhole outside number 9 and there was evidence this manhole had backed up, therefore we will liaise with Anglian Water and ask they programme in an inspection of their surface water sewer in this vicinity.” You marked the case as closed but nothing has been done. Anglian Water’s job listing makes no reference to this issue. Could you please escalate and advise of the plans? It is damaging the front of my driveway and I don’t want to have to pay to get the front part of the driveway relaid again.

We apologise for this continued inconvenience, speaking to Anglian Water they have stipulated that their surface water sewer is clear, therefore although our gully has been checked and is clear, we have added this location onto our extended list of sites to carry our substantial jetting works of the gully lateral pipe to ensure there are no issues with this 150mm diameter pipe.
