Between Orton Mere and Lady Lodge Drive Reported anonymously at 13:23, Thu 30 September 2021 I have recently bought myself an electric bike so that I can cycle more locally and use our car less for short journeys (as well as to try to keep myself fit in my older age). Most of my return journeys involve the stretch of the A605 between the Orton Mere/Orton Longueville traffic lights and the Lady Lodge Drive traffic lights (on the Nene Park Academy side of the road). There is a dedicated cycle lane but it is in a terrible condition, with the top green surface missing in patches, pot holes and unevenness. This makes for a bumpy and unpleasant ride and one that makes me frightened that I could be thrown off my bike on what is a busy road.
