Request for no food waste on Black Bins Reported anonymously at 09:18, Wed 31 March 2021 We have had stickers put on the black bins saying 'no food waste'. However when Hungry Henry Food Bins were introduced some years ago we were in communications with the team at PCC about not having these for hygiene reasons. The bin rooms are already full extremely warm in the summer and having 15 extra Hungry Henry would attract rats, cats and flies. When speaking to the PCC they said that the Hungry Henries did not need to be introduced into Flats as it was unfeasible. We would however consider this is we could have one large capacity grey bin where all homeowners would have to put their food waste bags in their fully tied up. This is the only solution that would work here. We have two bins rooms both serving 15 flats (of between 1 and 3 bedrooms) so our bins are often full. Can you please advise, I'd be happy to discuss options.
