Pedestrian Crossing - lights take too long Reported anonymously at 16:30, Wed 25 November 2020 The pedestrian crossing lights take an unusually long time to turn red after pressing the button. On most pedestrian crossings this happens well within 30 seconds, but on this crossing it seems to take 45-50 seconds, which is far too long and results in pedestrians crossing the road before the lights turn red, which is a) potentially dangerous and b) results in cars stopping at red lights when nobody is crossing because pedestrians have already made their own way across. I use this crossing regularly with my 7 year old daughter on her way to and from school. Ideally I would like to teach her to wait for the lights to change at all pedestrian crossings. This crossing does not encourage this behavior.
